  5. What you like best about working at C.A.H.: I love my co-workers. We are like a family here. Of course, I love my patients too. Our clientele and patients are truly wonderful.
  6. Favorite breed or type of animal: A well behaved one!
  7. Tell us about your pets: "C.J." spayed female shep/terrier mix born 3/2002. She was found as a puppy in Ohio when the boys and I were doing the kid's paper route. Best dog in the world! "Chessie" spayed female Siamese mix born 7/97. She was a rescue at 2 weeks of age. Her mother abandoned her as a newborn and then a dog bit her front and rear legs. She came to me at 2 weeks with a severe URI and abscesses from the dog bites. She has permanently damaged elbow and stifle joints from these injuries. She's a beautiful torti point with a hand raised cat temperament (can be very grumpy!) "George" neutered male sealpoint long hair mix born 6/03. He was rescued from the storm sewers in my neighborhood. Somehow, he fell in & the local fire department cam and pulled him out! He was only 8 weeks old. My dog fell in love with him instantly, so I knew I had to keep him! He is such a little Romeo and loves to be cuddled. George definitely has a Ragdoll personality. He's a very unique and wonderful cat!

  9. Hobbies other interests outside of work: Tropical fish - My son imports and raises Discus fish (freshwater). These fish are so colorful and enjoyable. I guess I don't have many other hobbies other than my family; the boys keep me very busy!

Sasha, spayed female Pitbull/Lab mix rescued from previous owner that didn't want to treat her demodex skin problem (2000). DeeDee, spayed female American Bulldog adopted from the American Bulldog Rescue (2003). Philodendron & Jimson Weed, neutered male DSH cats rescued stray kittens, named this because they were found by a landscaper (2004). Sammy, neutered male DSH cat adopted from couple moving to retirement home that were unable to take him with them (1992).

Penny, spayed female Westie rescued from previous owner that didn't want to treat skin problems, which are now under control (1993). Lacie, spayed female boxer mix, rescued stray (2003). Zoe, female spayed DSH cat rescued because she is FIV positive and, therefore, can not be around other cats (2002)

  6. Tell us about your pets: "Jason" (1994) male neutered tea cup poodle, black with beautiful long silver streaked ears. He is the love of my life, rescued from a breeder at 1 & 1/2 years old, starving for both food and love.
    "Toby" neutered male short–haired tabby (1998) rescued from owner that could not pay for needed treatment. He loves to show us his soft caramel belly.
  7. Special story about one of your pets: One of my poodles was so sensitive, that no matter where I was sick, she would gravitate to that spot (i.e. sore throat, upset stomach). One time, I fell in a hole and broke my leg. When I came home from the Doctor, she stayed by my foot (which she never did) for the whole 6 weeks until it healed.

Lady Gwenevior, (2001) spayed female golden retriever found as a stray with heartworms. Almond Soy, (2000) spayed female golden retriever mix. Oliver, (2004) neutered male lab mix found as a 6 week old puppy, whose mother was hit by a car and killed. L.C., (2002) spayed female tabby cat found as a feral kitten. Gabby, (91) spayed female Siamese mix cat. Hayley, (2001) miniature horse rescued at 2 days old in need of knee surgery. Tinker, (1995) miniature horse also rescued since she was Hayley's mom and needed to nurse her. Flower, rescued pot-bellied pig age unknown.
